About Layer Lab
Layer Lab is a color mixing puzzle on a chemistry bench. Each beaker holds layers of red, yellow or blue. Pour one layer at a time: two different primaries mix into a new color, and your job is to fill every order beaker with exactly the color on its tag.
Mix red, yellow and blue by pouring one layer onto another, and fill each beaker's color order before you run out of moves.

How to play Layer Lab
Mouse
Click a beaker to lift its top layer, then click the beaker to pour into. Same colors stack; red, yellow and blue mix into orange, green or purple.
Touch
Tap the beaker to pour from, then tap its destination. Tap the lifted beaker again to put the layer back.
Keyboard
Number keys 1–9 pick beakers, R restarts the level, H shows a hint.
💡 Tips & tricks
- Red + yellow makes orange, yellow + blue makes green, red + blue makes purple — the recipe bar at the top lists the ones you need.
- A mixed color cannot be mixed again, so mix in a spare beaker and pour the result into the order afterwards.
- Clear the wrong layers off an order beaker early; it can only seal when every layer matches the tag.
- Every level has a shortest plan. Count the pours each order needs before you start to earn three stars.
✨ Features
- 24 levels, each with a shortest plan proven by our solver
- Mixed colors show both parent symbols, so the game is playable with color vision deficiency
- Order tags, corks and a live recipe bar make every goal easy to read
- Plays with mouse, touch or keyboard and remembers where you left off
Layer Lab FAQ
Which colors can I mix?
Only two different primaries: red, yellow and blue. Red + yellow = orange, yellow + blue = green, red + blue = purple. Pouring onto a mixed color of a different kind is refused because it would make mud.
Do I have to empty every beaker?
No. Only the beakers with an order tag need to be filled with the ordered color. The other beakers are your workspace.
Is Layer Lab free on phones?
Yes. It runs in any modern mobile or desktop browser with no download or account.
