How to play Word Seeker
Mouse
Press on the first letter of a word, drag in a straight line to the last letter and release. Found words get a coloured capsule and are struck off the list.
Touch
Touch the first letter, slide your finger along the word and lift. You can drag in either direction along a word.
Keyboard
Move the cursor with the arrow keys, press Space or Enter on the first letter, move to the last letter and press Space or Enter again. Esc cancels, H shows a hint.
💡 Tips & tricks
- Scan for unusual letters such as Z, X, K or Y first — words containing them are easy to spot.
- In the first six levels words only run left to right or top to bottom, so read rows and columns.
- From level 7 words can run diagonally, and from level 15 they can also run backwards.
- Find words quickly one after another to chain a combo — and finish fast without hints for three stars.

Word Seeker FAQ
Can words go backwards or diagonally?
Levels 1-6 use only left-to-right and top-to-bottom words. Diagonals start at level 7, and backwards words in all eight directions start at level 15.
Is there a timer?
No. You can take as long as you like; finishing faster without hints simply earns more stars.
What does the hint do?
It flashes the first letter of a random word you have not found yet. The first hint is free; later hints are offered with an optional ad.
