About Lantern Maze

Lantern Maze is a cute-spooky stealth puzzle: lead a small kid with a lantern through a dark haunted mansion, collect every key and slip out of the exit door. Ghosts glide along fixed routes and light up the tiles they can see — every time you take a step, they take one too, so careful timing beats fast fingers.

Guide a little lantern-carrying kid through a dark haunted mansion, slipping past patrolling ghosts' glowing vision cones to grab every key and escape — 24 turn-based stealth mazes.

Touch

Swipe to step one tile, tap a tile to walk there, or use the D-pad below the mansion. Tap the hourglass (or the kid) to wait a turn.

Keyboard

Move with the arrow keys or WASD, press Space to wait a turn, H for a hint and R to restart.

💡 Tips & tricks

  • Dots on the floor show where each ghost will look after your next move — never end a step on a lit tile or a dotted one.
  • Waiting is a move too: let a cone sweep past, then go.
  • Wardrobes are safe hiding spots; ghosts look straight past them.
  • A red ! on a creaky board means a ghost is close enough to hear it — find another way or wait until it moves off.

✨ Features

  • 24 haunted mansion mazes, each checked by a solver to have a safe route
  • Turn-based ghosts with visible vision cones and next-turn previews
  • Closets, creaky floorboards and lantern oil that dims your light
  • Gentle, cartoon scares with no gore or loud screams — progress saved in your browser

Lantern Maze FAQ

What happens when a ghost sees me?

One of your three candles goes out and you return to the start or to the last key you picked up. Lose all three and you can try again or watch an optional ad for one more candle.

Is it scary?

Only a little. The ghosts are cartoon sheet spirits, a caught moment is a soft 'boo' with no flashing, and the game is made for players 10 and up.

How are stars awarded?

Three candles left earns three stars, two earns two and one earns one; finishing over the par move count costs one star.
